Terms & Conditions: The Photography Masterclass
1. Booking and Financial Terms
Ticket Purchase: To secure a seat for the Photography Masterclass, the ticket price of £800 must be authorised and processed in full at the time of booking.
Accepted Payment Methods: Payments are processed securely via Squarespace Payments and Stripe. We accept all major credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, Discover, Diners Club, JCB, UnionPay), Digital Wallets (Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link), and Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) options (Klarna and Paypal Pay In 3).
Financing Agreements: When choosing an instalment option (e.g., Klarna or Afterpay), the attendee enters into a separate financial agreement directly with that provider. The attendee remains entirely legally responsible for completing their scheduled instalments to the provider regardless of masterclass attendance status.
2. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Due to the strictly limited capacity of this masterclass and the promotional timeline, we enforce a strict tiered refund policy to cover venue hire and creative team commitments:
More than 30 days before Day One: A partial refund is permitted. A non-refundable fee of £200 will be withheld to cover marketing reallocation, administration, and non-reclaimable transaction fees.
14 to 30 days before Day One: A 50% refund of the total ticket price will be issued.
Less than 14 days before Day One: Strictly no refunds will be issued under any circumstances. Studio hire, equipment bookings, and creative team fees are locked in based on headcount.
Ticket Transfers: If an attendee cannot attend due to an emergency within the 14-day window, they may transfer their ticket to a colleague or peer, subject to written studio approval at least 48 hours before September 10th 2026.
3. Processing of Approved Refunds
Platform Routing: In strict compliance with financial regulations and Squarespace/Stripe merchant policies, any approved refund must be initiated through our Squarespace dashboard back to your original payment method.
No Direct Cash/Bank Transfers: We will never issue a direct bank transfer or cash refund for a ticket bought online.
Instalment Adjustments: For BNPL purchases, once we trigger the refund in Squarespace, Klarna or Afterpay will automatically adjust your remaining instalment schedule or credit your account according to their specific terms.
4. Intellectual Property (IP) Protection
Proprietary Knowledge: All industry experience, slide decks, portfolio strategies, project budgets, usage contract templates, and workflows shared during Day One and Day Two are the exclusive intellectual property of the Host.
Permitted Use: Course materials are provided solely for the personal, educational use of the individual attendee to develop their private photography business.
Strict Prohibitions: Recording audio or video during slide presentations and lectures is strictly prohibited. Re-selling, publishing, or creating derivative educational courses based on this masterclass curriculum will result in immediate legal action.
5. Studio Conduct and Equipment Care at Method Studio
Studio Rules: Attendees must comply with all health, safety, and fire guidelines outlined by Method Studio and the Host.
Equipment Care: While industry-standard cameras, lenses, lighting and grip equipment are provided for practical tasks, any reckless damage to studio or lighting gear caused by an attendee will be the financial responsibility of that individual.
6. Creative Team & Model Collaborations (Day Two)
Professional Environment: Day Two involves active collaboration with a hired creative team (lighting assistants, digital technician, makeup artists, hairstylist, stylist, and model). Attendees must maintain a professional, respectful, and collaborative working environment.
Image Usage Rights: Images captured during the practical fashion photoshoot are for portfolio and self-promotional use only (e.g., website, social media, printed book).
Commercial Restriction: Images cannot be sold to stock libraries, used for commercial advertisements, or submitted to magazines without express written permission from the Host, the Stylist, and the Model’s agency. Correct creative team credits must always be tagged when posting images online.
7. Team-Based Masterclass Execution and Shoot Logistics
Production Walkthrough: The core value of Day One is mastering the full preparation cycle of a commercial shoot, including technical lighting breakdowns, set design principles, outfit styling logic, and model selection.
Two-Team Structure: On Day Two, attendees will be divided into two separate production teams. To ensure a highly controlled, professional environment and prevent unstructured set conditions, each team will be capped at a strict maximum number of photographers.
Rotational Shooting: Team 1 will execute and shoot their creative brief first, followed sequentially by Team 2. Within each team's designated window, photographers will shoot in managed, structured rotations.
Controlled Set Rule: Mass-shooting or firing flashes simultaneously is strictly prohibited. The Host reserves the right to enforce individual shooting slots to ensure the selected team photographers capture clean, professional frames without interference.
8. Catering, Dietary Requirements, and Allergies
Provision of Catering: Refreshments, lunch, and beverages will be provided on both Day One and Day Two of the masterclass.
Attendee Responsibility: It is the sole responsibility of the attendee to notify the host's studio assistant of any severe food allergies, intolerances, or strict dietary requirements at least 14 days before September 10th 2026.
Liability Limitation: While the Host will make every reasonable effort to accommodate dietary requirements and work with reputable catering vendors, food is prepared in external facilities. The host cannot 100% guarantee an environment entirely free of allergens (e.g., traces of nuts, gluten, or dairy) and accepts no liability for allergic reactions sustained during the event. Attendees with life-threatening allergies are advised to bring their own meals and necessary medical provisions (e.g., EpiPens).
9. Accessibility, Mobility, and Inclusion
Anticipatory Notice: We welcome all photographers and strive to create an inclusive environment. Attendees who require specific physical access accommodations or learning adjustments are requested to notify us when booking.
10. Event Cancellation or Alteration
Host Cancellation: In the highly unlikely event that the masterclass is cancelled by the Host due to severe illness or force majeure, attendees will receive a 100% refund of all monies paid. The Host is not liable for any external travel or accommodation costs booked by attendees.
Creative Team Alterations: The Host reserves the right to substitute creative team members (e.g., a different MUA or model of equal professional calibre) if an original team member becomes unavailable.
11. Virtual Access, Broadcast Integrity, and Q&A Priority
Platform Delivery: Virtual ticket holders will access the live event via Zoom. It is the sole responsibility of the virtual attendee to ensure they have a stable internet connection, an updated Zoom application, and functional hardware. The host accepts no liability for localised technical disruptions or bandwidth failures on the attendee's end.
Engagement Limitations: While dedicated time windows will be allocated for virtual Q&A, priority on set and during the sessions will be given to in-person attendees. The Host does not guarantee that every virtual attendee’s question will be answered live.
Single-User License: Virtual ticket links are strictly personal and unique to the registered buyer. Sharing Zoom links, login details, or passwords with third parties is strictly prohibited. Detection of multiple simultaneous logins from a single link will result in immediate termination of access without a refund.
12. Digital Copyright, Streaming Protections, and Anti-Piracy
Recording Prohibition: Recording, ripping, downloading, transcribing, or capturing the live broadcast via external software, hardware, or mobile devices is strictly illegal.
Public Distribution Ban: Attendees are strictly prohibited from posting slide content, lecture clips, live video streams, or shared templates onto public platforms (including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn or private forums/communities).
Piracy Penalties: All visual content, proprietary lighting layouts, and curriculum materials broadcast during the masterclass are protected under UK and international copyright laws. Any attendee caught copying, redistributing, reselling, or using these materials for their own educational courses will face immediate legal action, structural damage claims, and a permanent ban from future events.
